# Customer tracking links

> Give customers an Amazon-style 'your technician is on the way' page they can open from their phone.

Give customers an Amazon-style "your technician is on the way" page they can
open from their phone.

## Share a link

From an appointment on the **Schedule** page, choose **Share tracking link**.
Tellem gives you a private link you can text or email to the customer. Sharing the
same appointment again returns the same link.

## What the customer sees

The link opens a live page showing the visit's **status** and **estimated
arrival** on a map. As the technician heads over, the page updates on its own.

> For privacy, the technician's live location appears **only** while they're on
> the way or on site — never before the job and never after it's done. The page
> shows the technician's first name only.

## Tips

* The customer doesn't need an account or app — the link just works in their
  browser.
* A live ETA needs an assigned worker who's sharing location and an appointment
address that pins on the map. Without those, the page still shows status, just
not a live location. See [Field workers](/field-workers).
